Spring Semester

Spring Semester at Cuesta started today, January 19th. I, Jenn, am taking two classes in Early Childhood Education. One class is called, Children's Literature and is about surverying literature from infancy to elementary school with an emphasis on the diversity perspective. To do this, we'll be learning about a different types of childen's books by doing weekly assignments, reading aloud to a group of preschoolers, taking quizes/a final and even creating a children's book.

The second class is called, Child Health, Safety & Nutrition. It's about identifying strategies to maximize the health of children by analyzing and tending to their needs for nutrition and safety, all while taking into account their culture, linguistic abilities and diverse development. Very cool!

Classes are held online and it should be an interesting and fun semester!
