Christmas at the zoo & decorated housed
We took Leland to the zoo for the first time this weekend because they were having a spcial event where Santa gives all the animals special presents. It was fun seeing Santa again and all the animals. Dad's favorite was the red panda, Mom liked the Meerkats and Leland likes the Titi Monkey. He was making us laugh to hard by saying "titi" all afternoon. Besides this leap in vocabularly, we also toured a nearby neighborhood which has lots of decorated houses. There's even a house with a mini golf on its front yard! I'll never forget how happy he was to see all the lights and say "tree" and "ball." It's so precious to watch him experience Christmas this year!
Also, this week Leland said a few new words He said: boots, tree, touch, juice and dog. He often says: mom, dad, and lots of babbling, so this was a real leap in his abilities! He's loving to stack things this week too. He stacks blocks and boxes, and books. Even stacking himself on Dad's lap (sitting on his lap, or standing on it) requires a clap for the successful stack he did. Heehee. He's quite the entertainer. We've been playing Christmas music and he's quite moody about it. There's certain songs he will dance to and others he will just shake his head "no" to. So much fun seeing what he likes and doesn’t I’m happy to be his DJ! We're also pretty sure he’s left-handed, too. He’s been using crayons and while he does alternate hands, he more often uses the left. Yay! Another Leftie in the Wolfe Pack!
